This is the “duct tape and high-fidelity” version of your Terms of Service. It’s written to protect the Media Engine, keep the 100% upfront bookings secure, and make the 50/50 split as clean as a whistle.

I’ve stripped out the corporate fluff. This is a “Village” agreement for a professionalized economy.

Terms of Service: TriadMusic.org

1. The Big Idea

TriadMusic is the Media Layer for the Piedmont Triad music ecosystem. We aren’t a talent agency or a gatekeeper. We document, amplify, and build the infrastructure that makes the local music economy possible. By using this site or booking our services, you’re agreeing to play by these rules.

2. Service & Production (The “Engine”)

When you book a Streaming Session or a Media Capture with us, the following applies:

  • Payment: All bookings require 100% payment upfront. We don’t chase invoices; we prep gear. Your slot is only confirmed once the payment clears.
  • The Kill Fee: If you cancel or no-show within 48 hours of our scheduled time, your payment is non-refundable. We blocked that time for you, and in this economy, time is a non-renewable asset.
  • The Credit Line: You have the right to use the Digital Assets we create for you. In exchange, you must tag TriadMusic.org and credit us as the production source in all metadata and social posts. Visibility is our currency.

3. The Label & Revenue Split (The 50/50 Rule)

If we produce or capture a performance that is released under the TriadMusic label wing:

  • The Split: We split net streaming revenue 50/50 with the Artist.
  • No Nickel-and-Diming: TriadMusic absorbs all distribution fees and administrative costs. If the track earns a dollar, you get fifty cents.
  • Ownership: You own your songs (the publishing). TriadMusic co-owns the specific audio/video recording (the Master) created during our session.
  • The James Bay Clause: By performing on a TriadMusic-captured stage, you agree that the performance can be recorded, streamed, and monetized under this 50/50 split.

4. Fundraising & Patrons

We accept one-time and recurring support to keep the Visibility Layer running.

  • Not a 501(c)(3): TriadMusic is a for-profit entity serving a community mission. Contributions are not tax-deductible. You are a Patron, supporting the documentation of our scene.
  • The Use of Funds: Patron support goes toward documenting under-represented talent and keeping the Digital Hub free for the Village to use.

5. Licensing & The “PRO” Shield

  • Venue Responsibility: TriadMusic documents activity; we don’t own the buildings. It is the sole responsibility of the Venue to maintain proper public performance licenses (ASCAP, BMI, SESAC).
  • Copyright: Don’t play music you don’t own or have the rights to. If you bring a sample or a cover into our studio, the legal weight of that choice sits on your shoulders, not ours.

6. The Digital Hub & Data

  • Privacy: We keep your email to send you the blog and your payment info to get you paid. We don’t sell your info to ghouls.
  • Content: We reserve the right to remove any content from the Digital Hub that is toxic, unprofessional, or hurts the ecosystem.
